In which I interview one of the people I’ll be living with for a year +.
Name – Candelaria. C-A-N-D-E-LARIA
Age – 23
Dream occupation – Event planner
but currently applying for – cafe waitress
Why did you come to Australia?
Because of the weather, the people, yes. (Also you didn’t leave enough room on your paper for all my answers!!)
What’s your favourite part about Melbourne so far?
The laneways. So much going on all the time, with the people, cafes and graffiti making it a lively place.
Is there anything you forgot to pack?
Nothing that I’ve discovered yet.
What’s one thing you’ve done so far that’s been out of your comfort zone?
*Laughs* Lia knows the answer
Why are you such a good cook?
Because I love food.
What’s your favourite thing to cook? Can I give you a category? Sure. I love salty stuff. Not huge on baking.
Do you have any advice for people who are traveling?
Do it! You won’t regret it. No matter how it goes, you learn and get something out of it, even if it’s a bad experience.
If you could live in any city in the world, which would you choose? Can I say two? Melbourne or Barcelona. But I haven’t been to Sydney yet. Maybe a Nordic country, but it’s cold. We’ll see.
What’s one tuna-related fact about yourself?
*Laughs* You can have tuna on anything.
Any final thoughts?
I’m having a great time with Lia & waiting for Bianca.
P.S. Why is everything we eat here so salty?
